Background: Steve is an experienced education leader and strategic advisor with a demonstrated history of success in education leadership. Before commencing his current role as an Independent Education Consultant, Steve was Head Teacher at the Oxfordshire Hospital School, during his Headship, the OHS was a TES Award winning school and achieved an Ofsted Outstanding grading, providing education for young people with physical and mental health conditions. Prior to this, Steve held various senior leadership positions in mainstream secondary schools in London, Reading and Swindon. Steve has also served as an Associate Head Teacher in an EOTAS / PRU provision.

Embedded throughout Steve’s approach to education, are the principles of equity and equality. Steve is a strong advocate for inclusive learning environments that foster a sense of belonging, where diversity is valued and supported.
Steve has current and significant experience in school improvement. Now working as a self-employed Education Consultant, his contracts include supporting a large LA with quality assuring their Alternative Education Provision services, supporting maintained special schools as a School Improvement Partner to secure continuous school improvement; Supporting a Special School MAT as a SIP and leadership coach; leading training nationally in the area of SEND and inclusive practice.
