This group has recently been formed by the DfE as part of testing the reforms proposal within the SEND and AP Improvement Plan. Many of the proposals being put forward will not work for hospital inpatient settings and this group looks at the impact of the reforms on our unique settings, and includes a series of workstreams exploring some of the more pertinent topics that can be used to inform any reforms at a strategic level.
The group is co-chaired by Cath Kitchen (Chair of NAHE) and involves practitioners from across our sectors, alongside DfE personnel, representatives from local authorities, the NHS and social care.
